WELCOME!

Our exciting news to share with you is that the campaign has two physical brick and mortar office locations to date for you to join with Carla and to support and participate in our Democracy.  We will be planning an open house with refreshments at both locations, and volunteer events in the near future.  Whether you participate a little or a lot, please get involved, many hands make light work!  I still have a mobile office and travel throughout all the nine counties as often as possible and can set appointments with people to meet at your locations, events, fundraisers, canvasses, or group meetings.

I am hoping our offices will be utilized as much as possible by campaign volunteers as I will be arranging 2 hours shifts for people to come in and help with office work, phone calls, canvassing and a list of to do actions.

Our first office location, opened in July, is generously shared with Jackie Smith, Candidate for Assembly District 6 at the El Dorado County Democratic Headquarters.

Our second office, opened in August, is located in Madera Ranchos.  Please find addresses for both locations below.

I need volunteers to staff both offices and can set a schedule with you that works best for you.  Please call, text or send an email or fill out the form below to help with volunteer staff positions.   I am looking into opening and sharing offices in other counties too and will keep you posted.  Also, we can set up virtual meetings with advance scheduling on the internet.   Please keep in touch and I will too!  High tech is our friend sometimes with such a large district and miles between us, but communication is easier today than ever before.   I am aware that we need more broadband in our rural communities and main street areas!     So, let’s be close via the many ways to communicate, if you want to talk.  Your concerns are my concerns, as I am the best candidate for the people…all of us and each of you!  Welcome!

I had a great weekend with Calaveras County folks at events in Murphys, Angels Camp, and Big Trees.  It was especially nice to stay at the Murphys hotel on Friday evening.  For all our worry, the air quality was okay-good and we felt safe because the Ferguson Fire and other fires were extinguished in the area-thanks to all who helped to  do so.   Thank you to my supporters, Arlene and Charnette, Anne, and Bruce and so many more for your support and time talking with me to understand your concerns and hopes!  I am going to work for you on better broadband to the mainstreet businesses, cannabis business support and I will work to bring more money for mental health, healthcare (more nurses and doctors to our rural hospitals, clinics and counties) for everyone to have healthCARE!!!!!! Additionally, I fully support teachers, administrators in providing quality education, comprehensive property insurance for homes with a public option (if private insurance says your home is too risky and uninsurable, like folks in Oakhurst are telling me),  clean water and fire safety maximized when elected.   I Will be back soon and will call to work on the event we talked over coffee at Gold Country Roasters in Murphys.

On Sunday, I was in Sacramento with Democracy for America training and thank you for the great lessons  provided by Susan, Brieanna Fisher, Jim Dean, and Anoa Changa!

I may be the inexperienced candidate for State Assembly, but I am on the road to being the the best candidate for the people, jobs and our environment on the ballot with the best platform on issues that matter!    This next week I will be in Madera (of course!), Amador County and then in El Dorado for events and Getting out the Vote fun!  I am also starting my fall semester at Fresno City this week and am sorry to miss the Evening in the Pines in Twain Harte in Tuolumne County on Thursday.  I hope many good people show up for this fine evening to hear Jessica Morse, Congressional Candidate in CD 4 and Kevin de Leon, candidate for US Senate speak.  Thank you Anne for speaking on my behalf Thursday evening while I am still working.  If elected, I will be your representative full-time, until then I still work my two jobs as a educator and a notary public, in addition to campaigning. This is just the start of more good to come!

Love, Carla

THANK YOU California Federation of Labor Delegates and Organizers for the Endorsement

California Labor Federation

Thank you for your endorsement California Labor Federation.  I stand with you In Solidarity and for middle class jobs to bring equal access to economic opportunity for working men and women!  Prevailing wages, working conditions and fair & living wages based on the economy,  really are important values to the people all over Assembly District 5.

People want to bring labor’s good jobs to the area and more prominently into our nine counties that primarily consists of main street businesses, education, law enforcement, healthcare, tourism & agricultural sectors.   Our district needs the work, solidarity and benefits of working families here in rural California  with affordable housing, sustainable infrastructure, quality education and training, Cal-Fire safety & fire regime, justice jobs, healthcare for all, public groundwater banking, transportation and so much more.

We need jobs that are stable and well paying for everyone and to make sure that our kids won’t have to move away to prosper economically.  I look forward to working with all the unions to make this happen, if elected.  Thank you again for the vote of confidence of endorsement and I hope to be your champion in the legislature!

Government is for the People. Your vote Matters!

Choose your Candidate on the ballot in the June 5th, 2018 Primary and choose again from the same two candidates in the General Election November 6th, 2018.

I need your vote in both elections, so I can help you and be the change, on important issues that matter to all.

I definitely want to hear from you, on what you feel is important.

Let’s work together for a better California.

Our Sign Campaign is Underway and We need your HELP and here’s how

Dear Fellow Democrats,

There is no question about it. I need name recognition in your counties. By the 6th of November, I hope to be on the minds of 150,000 voters throughout the nine counties of Assembly District 5. This is a daunting task, but I have got great supporters which will make all the difference in my campaign.

Here’s what I need from all of you:

Those who can afford to by a small yard sign ($16.00), please order one or more on my website link below and make a $16.00 donation.

https://carlajnealforcaassembly2018.com/get-a-yard-sign

  1. If you want to order a medium (4×4@ $50 ea.) or larger (4×8 @$85 ea.) sign, then call me or Steve (559) 286-5788, signs are made at our union printer. We will deliver signs to your County Democratic Headquarters with permission or to your address with wooden posts upon request.
  2. In order to avoid the possibility of theft and vandalism, I need assistance in locating private property where the owner will allow the large signs to be posted, but which is also highly visible and trafficked areas within major towns in each county. Please send “LARGE SIGN IDEAL LOCATION” information you may have with a general description and/or address and contact information to my email at carlajneal4assembly@gmail.com
  3. In some cases, I may need help putting up larger signs, and so I am developing a team of volunteers with a truck and tools for putting posts and signs up in secure areas.

Thank you for helping to make my name more visible to all potential voters, and come November let’s flip AD 5 and turn it BLUE!
